Rolkon is the proud recipient of the 2023 Joop van Wamelen AWARD OF EXCELLENCE from the South African Society for Trenchless Technology (SASTT).
This is in recognition of our
exceptional contribution to the active promotion, development, and implementation of trenchless technology in southern Africa.
The project used to demonstrate our work, was also one of our biggest, where the team faced some severe space constraints and a 17m grade drop over the length of the drill in an upmarket suburb in Morningside, Durban.
Working as a specialist contractor to BLOC Contractors, who in turn was working for the eThekwini Storm Water department, this project required the installation of a stormwater network linking all the properties to the new main stormwater bulk line.
We are so grateful for the hard work on this job not only from our Rolkon staff but key members of the larger team including BLOC, Rho-Tec and Ganga Plumbers. This is a huge step in the promotion of trenchless technology in southern Africa.
