Not a lot of room to move at this location, but the Rolkon team ensured they left their surroundings undisturbed on this drill.
Like many of our projects in urban and peri-urban areas, space was limited on this job in Mandini. There were houses all around the trench site and a constant flow of pedestrians who have to walk in and on the edge of the road given the lack of pavements in the area. This meant the team had to pay a lot of attention to the surroundings, in particular, to ensure the safety of the people and animals and to keep the avoid any damage to properties.
The 200mm pipe for this water main could not be pulled in as traditionally done so it was pushed the length of the 18m drill with very little difficulty and the water main was delivered as per our client’s expectations on time and within budget! See more images of this project.
